Conduit House
We’ve recently been aproached by our client, asking for our assistance on their latest project, Conduit House based on St Giles Street in Northampton.
The proposal relates to the change of use of the building from an E1 (Office/Retail) to a mixed use E1 (Commercial, ground floor to front) and C3 (10 flats), including the provision of a three storey rear extension, cycle parking spaces and landscaped gardens to the side providing shared and amenity space for the occupiers of the new flats.
The proposed extension has been designed to correspond sympathetically to the historic core of the building, whilst utilising the building line of the existing ground floor extension to provide for much-needed 1 bed-1 person units within the heart of Northampton. The windows within the first floor have been orientated so as to provide for the continued protection of privacy in adjoining properties.
Alpine Planning Ltd has project managed the planning application on behalf of our clients, negotiating and resolving issues as they have been raised with the local planning authority. Strong collaboration with architects and the client team will ensure that this scheme gets delivered in the next 12 months.
