With a huge passion to positively contribute to the regeneration of Northampton and the creation of a vibrant town centre, LG Properties (Northampton) Ltd working with Archways Real Estate Ltd have secured several sites, long redundant. Their core strategy is to develop the sites into modern and desirable homes which also incorporate commercial units such as restaurants, cafes, small scale retail space or offices. By offering something that is currently lacking it will create a sense of community and encourage people back into the town by offering desirable destinations.

Currently a basic, uninspiring office building with imposing red brick and a flat roof, a planning application has been submitted to Northampton Borough Council proposing the change of use to include 35 residential dwellings and a restaurant/ café.

Designed by Idea Architectural Technology (Idea-AT Ltd) the existing three storey building will be extended upwards to create 6 floors in total and will also be extended outwards creating space for the restaurant/ café and external gardens all with spectacular views over the town. The restaurant area has been designed with its own entrance, separate to residents’ access points, ensuring both privacy and safety.

Having been vacant for several years, the development will have a positive impact on the local area improving the immediate vicinity through increased lighting and general activity. It will create a link between the town centre and the nearby Boot and Shoe Quarter with good footpaths, pedestrian crossings, and underpasses already in place.
